Andaman and Nicobar Islands can be classified into Andamanese and Nicobarese tribal groups based on their places of origin. The Andaman Island is home to four Negrito tribes including the great Andamanese, Onge, Jarawa, and Sentinelese. Whereas, the Nicobar Islands are home to two Mongoloid tribes that is the Shompen and Nicobarese. These tribes have arrived from Africa for 60,000 years and they hunt for the wild pigs, monitor lizards, and fishes with bows and arrows. They also collect honey, roots, and berries from the forest for their survival.

The Andamanese Tribes

#3. Sentinelese

These tribes are said to be hostile and have been named the hardest place to visit as they inhabit North Sentinel Island and isolate themselves from the rest of the world. No one has a trace of how they look or where they live.

#4. Shompen

Population 410. A comparatively isolated tribe of Andaman

#5. Nicobarese
