This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Mughal city Agra. Agra is a major tourist destination in North India because of its many Mughal-era buildings, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, all these three are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. On arrival check in to your hotel. After fresh n up you will visit the famous Taj Mahal-the symbol of love, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. (Taj Mahal Remains Closed on Every Friday) Later, visit the Agra fort, built by the great Emperor Akbar and the tomb of Etimad-ud-Daula often described as Jewel Box or the Baby Taj and is regarded as a draft of the Taj Mahal. This early morning at sunrise you can visit the Taj Mahal-again (Optional visit). After visiting the Taj Mahal, return back to your hotel for fresh n up and breakfast. After breakfast you will be transferred to Pink City Jaipur, en route you will visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar and the Chand Baori, a stepwell situated in the Abhaneri village on the way to Jaipur. Chand Baori consists of 3,500 narrow steps over 13 stories. It extends approximately 30 m (100 ft) into the ground making it one of the deepest and largest stepwells in India. This morning after breakfast you will visit the Amber fort nestling among Aravali Hills built in 16th century by Raja Man Singh, enjoy an optional elephant ride at Amber fort subject to additional charges, then visit Jal Mahal (Water Palace) & Hawa Mahal-a Palace of winds- it is the Jaipur’s most famous monument. In the afternoon you will visit the City Palace and Museum, City Palace-conceived and designed by Jai Singh is a fine blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture and is one of the most important architectural landmarks in Jaipur. Walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory. Rest of the day is free at your leisure for rest or shopping. You can visit the local markets for some window shopping. This morning after breakfast you will visit Sri Harmandir Sahib popularly known as Golden Temple. Golden Temple with its four entrance doors called Deoris and artistic shrines that display architectural splendor is the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion in the country. The gold covered sanctum casting its reflection in the holy tank, the spotless marble walkways and pavements are the highlights of this Gurudwara. Harmandir Sahib complex has a Langar, a community-run free kitchen and dining hall. Food is served here free to all visitors who want it, regardless of faith, gender or economic background. Vegetarian food is served and all people eat together as equals. Everyone sits on the floor in rows, which is called Pangat. The meal is served by volunteers round the clock. The langar feeds a minimum of 40,000 people every day. During weekends and holidays, the number goes up to 1,00,000. You can also visit Jallianwala Bagh. The Jallianwalla Bagh is a public garden walled on all sides, with five entrances. It is known for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It took place on 13 April 1919 when troops of the British Indian Army under the command of Colonel Reginald Dyer fired rifles into a crowd of Indians, who had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh.
Visit Wagah Border
By late afternoon at around 16:00 hrs. proceed to Wagha Border. Wagah Border or Wagah-Attari border is the last Indian area before the Pakistan mainland. It is around 40 km away from Amritsar city. It is the last destination of the Indian border in Amritsar. Every evening at 18.00 hrs. a parade takes place between the soldiers of India & Pakistan. It is a stunning moment to see the soldiers in such great enthusiasm & respect for each other's countries. Daily around 3000 to 4000 viewers visit Wagah Border to see this magnificent parade.
